This is one of the intermediate results of the project "Support for rapid economic recovery of Ukrainian municipalities," which is being implemented in 12 cities of Ukraine.
Its goal is to achieve the recovery of the economies of Ukrainian municipalities by repairing and improving basic and business infrastructure.
Within this project, initiatives have already been implemented to restore systems that ensure water supply and sewage for industrial zones and residential areas in the cities of Chernihiv, Smila, and Lozova. For this purpose, approximately 7,000 meters of pipes have already been replaced.
The project is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine with the support of the ReACT4UA international cooperation project ("Application and implementation of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine in the field of trade"), which is funded by the German government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
